Ruttenskalle

RUTTENSKALLE is a death metal band founded in 2021 by Portuguese musician and producer, Paulo Soares, and it's known for its strong association with Scandinavian death metal, with influences from bands like CARNAGE, NIHILIST, DISMEMBER and ENTOMBED.

The first full-length album, "Skin'em Alive" was released on October 31, 2021, under the Portuguese label Gruesome Records, as a solo Album with some guest performances on a few guitar solos.

In 2023, the band took on a more serious form with the hiring of new permanent
members, such as Jorge Matos (TORN FABRIKS), António Gonçalves (CULTO OBSCURO) and Tiago Rocha (RAGEFUL), who performed as a temporary live session guitarist in several shows. By the end of 2023, the talented musician Fred Brum (INNARDS, RAGE AND FIRE), joined as a permanent lead guitarist, replacing Tiago Rocha and completing the current line-up.

Between November 2023 and January 2024, the band composed and recorded a series of new songs, which led to the new independent release titled "Disgorged Exsanguination" on April 5, 2024.

The EP promises to showcase the band's artistic and technical prowess and will undoubtedly be a highly
anticipated release in the Portuguese metal scene. Once again, the production was overseen by the drummer and founder, Paulo Soares, at Oldskull Sound Studios. This new EP is also released in physical format, as a Split CD between RUTTENSKALLE and RAGEFUL.
