Ruy Adrian López Nussa (Havana, Cuba, August 30th ,1986), composer and jazz drummer.
His ability, virtuosity and versatileness allowed him to play, during his young but plentiful carrier, with prestigious musicians of a very assorted musical universe, as well as in the most important international stages and Jazz Festivals around the world.
Moreover, he has made incursions in the movie world composing sound tracks for movies and documentaries.
In 2020, he released his first CD-DVD, as a single composer Dos Lenguajes, under Bis Music label, together with a lot of important Cuban artists as guests. Lopez- Nussa wins Cubadisco Prize for Best First Work 2020-2021. Early 2021, he also wins the IV ‘Tete Montoliu’ Jazz Composition Contest, sponsored by SGAE, among other 151 composers, with his work ‘A Lyle’, an ode to American jazz pianist and composer Lyle Mays.
