Ryan Barry is an American musician and composer based in New York City. Ryan began his music journey at the age of 13 when he first picked up a guitar. In the years since he has added many more instruments to his repertoire, including the saxophone, bass, and piano. He's worked across a wide variety of genres such as Jazz, Punk, Rock, Classical, and Reggae. Ryan discovered his love of jazz and musical improvisation through playing in his university's big band ensemble. Since 2020, he has been studying under Grammy-nominated saxophonist, <a href="spotify:artist:1tlG601BjK26NAtZbfyt7k" data-name="Mike Tucker">Mike Tucker</a>, who is most widely known for his work with legendary trumpeter <a href="spotify:artist:0MGQZNEMaEICyku3cSDrnJ" data-name="Arturo Sandoval">Arturo Sandoval</a>. Since 2021, Ryan has been an active member of the New York City jazz scene, playing in clubs, private events, and other venues across the city. He has also played in other great music cities such as Philadelphia and Chicago.
