There's something here for every mood. I see no difference in being the creator or consumer in the context of perception of what art is. Every mood writes a different song and tells a different story for everyone who experiences it. These are my moods. These are my stories.

The Crucible Revisited is a re-purposing of my first effort as a solo singer-songwriter. This stuff is nearly 10 years old. At the time, I was immersed in and heavily influenced by the sounds of @BlackRebelMotorcycleClub @WillHoge @HalfDeafClatch the American Recordings of @JohnnyCash @CamCole @DukeGarwood and others. So, I knew I wanted to capture some element of grit with my music.

I've produced plenty of music. Some of it is decent, and some of it is complete junk. The songs on this EP are as honest and authentic as I know how to be, in every way, from the prose of the stories and the level of talent in the instrumentation, to the quality of the delivery. The sounds are raw and abrasive as hell, both intentionally and simultaneously, unintentionally.

In the very least, for me, I feel like this project (now) has validated things like the acceptance of artistic vulnerability, limited skillset, and the hard truths about internal struggle.

Maybe the listener experiences it similarly. Maybe not. In the very least, I hope it illicits the inclination to stomp, clap, hoot, holler, and just get lost in the shuffle of the rhythm. To each, his or her own.
