At the crossroads between music and medicine stands 29 year-old Hong Kong-based award-winning singer-songwriter, guitarist and doctor, Ryan Cheung. Deeply influenced by the lyricism and guitar-playing of John Mayer and Bruno Major, he strives to craft songs with the same passion and vulnerability that are imbued in theirs.
Infusing his newfound love of jazz into his acoustic and R&B roots has inspired the creation of a full length album. Hoping to build on his recent singles "Either Way" and "Stockton", he is currently preparing to release his fourth single of 2023 "Miles" in December. To date, his releases have garnered over 500,000 streams across the globe.
Despite the challenge of balancing his artistic endeavours with the pursuit of specialty training in medicine, he aspires to continue to release original music that he hopes will connect with audiences at home and abroad.
