A soulful singer/songwriter whose R&B-inflected folk-pop invokes names like John Mayer or Mat Kearney, Missouri native Ryan Corn spent his formative years glued to the radio, where he developed an appreciation for top 40 radio. A talented songwriter, producer, and engineer, Corn's rural upbringing and faith play a large part in his creative process, as does his easygoing nature and keen ear for melody. Ryan issued an independent self-titled EP in 2010 before inking a deal with Curb Records after his song "Wonderful Things" took home the top prize in a radio contest. He followed it with shows at events like Live in the Vineyard and South by Southwest, and new songs, including a cover of Dido's "White Flag." His most recent passion is in making music for film/TV under the moniker, MATS. The side project has been featured on shows like Good Trouble and MTV Teen Mom 2.
