Ryan Hanifl is an independent artist, songwriter, and producer reclaiming the music he once left behind.
Hailing from La Crescent, Minnesota, Ryan’s journey has taken him from fronting rock bands in Los Angeles to composing for TV, film, and beyond. He’s shared the stage with Incubus, Weezer, Remy Zero, Alien Ant Farm, and Hoobastank and has been a longtime member of the world/trailer music collective GLOBUS (Immediate Music).
His solo debut, Sourpuss (2007), was shaped by his time as guitarist and vocalist for Vertices and Your Horrible Smile, later leading him to front Black Belt KARATE and The Hugeness. Now, after years of stepping away from his own artistry, Ryan is back—releasing new music in 2025 on his own terms.
