Ryan Hawaii

Ryan Hawaii is a multidisciplinary artist, hailing from Catford, South-East London, whose disciplines span from Fashion Design, Visual Art & Music. 


Cutting his teeth in the mid-2010’s with genre-defying collective Neverland Clan which Ryan founded due to a desire to explore sounds he wasn’t accustomed to hearing from his peers at the time, the group played intimate (but packed) shows all over Europe including appearances in Germany, the Netherlands & even Iceland to name a few. This focus on live performances birthed an attitude on the experience, as opposed to the aesthetic, a substance over style mindset if you will, their earliest releases attest to this, with Hawaii singing R&B tinged vocals over ethereal production provided by fellow members DanielOG & OMELET. 


In the years following, Ryan quietly worked on music, alongside his other crafts, while he grew & honed his sound. This took him across the globe both physically and in spirit as his designs were stocked in stores in London’s Selfridges, all the way to Milan, Tokyo, Osaka & Seoul, with Ryan even travelling to Canada & an eventful return to Iceland, this nomadic approach to creativity resulted in musical projects springing up in various places, with a select few producers that understood Hawaii’s vision of discovery of not only sound, but himself.


Meeting Dutch hitmaker Styn on a trip to Amsterdam in 2018, they began work on what would become Ryan’s debut solo release, NOMAD.
