Saasta

Saasta is an extreme metal band from Kotka, Finland. The band's music combines black and death metal, with occasional doom nuances. Saasta's goal is to offer its listeners grooving, authentic metal and dark but lyrically skilled stories, as well as an unforgettable punch in the middle of the face.

Saasta is a band for whom live performances are the salt of everything, and they don't skimp on mood or visual entertainment. A strong ardor towards making music and art is the force from which Saasta draws all of its energy on stage.

The band's debut album "Crucial to None" was released in November 2022, from which the song "The Rift'' was released as a single with a music video. During the long play, Jimi Lahtinen was the band's drummer, Janne Hietanen was the bassist and Topias Jokipii was the guitarist-singer. Shortly after the release of the album, Mr. Leevi Kärsämä joined Saasta's ranks as a singer. The unique sound brought by Kärsämä fueled Saasta's campfire with a tank of gasoline and gave Jokipii the opportunity to fully focus on playing the guitar.
