Sabina Masanabo

Ntokozo Linah "Sabina Masanabo" is an independent rnb/soul artist, singer, songwriter and author from the capital city of South Africa, Pretoria. She was born on the 13th of June 1997 and discovered her love for music at the early age of 4.

At the age of 9, she became the choir conductor at her primary school for 2 years in a row. Moreover, in order to execute this task effectively, she used to pick out songs from the older generation, compile a playlist, then remix them to make then more vibrant and relevant to her generation. Using nothing but her fellow choir members voices, her job was to creatively blend voices and melodies as their school didn't have any musical instruments.

Sabina wrote her first song when she was in Grade 8. For a 1st attempt, it went pretty well. She continued writing more songs and poetry about different people, from different perspectives.

As a writer, she said, you need to be able to put yourself in other people's shoes and feel their emotions in order to tell their stories effectively.

Her debut single One sided was released on the 8th of July 2022. The song is about a guy who is madly in love with a girl. She cares for him but doesn't love him back. Secretly in his heart, he wishes for that reciprocation, to be embraced with the same amount love. He wishes that one day she'll wake up and realize what she means to him.
