Sævar Jóhannsson is an award-winning pianist and composer based in Reykjavík, Iceland. His music, consisting of introspective piano melodies embraced by warm string arrangements, explores the full spectrum of human emotion and experience; at times melancholic, but also playful and warm.
Sævar’s debut album "Whenever You're Ready“, released in 2022, won the "You Should Have Heard This" award from the Reykjavík Grapevine Music Awards. His second album „Where the Light Enters“ followed in 2023 and will now be predecessor to his third and most ambitious record yet; „Quiet Presence" is set to come out 1st November 2025.
