Sage writes inter-dimensional and cinematic music to induce psychic travel. He distills a diverse and chaotic world into a post-classical calm of visceral images and emotional dreaminess.
His latest release, OMNI, is a solo album of neo-psychedelia for piano, voice, and synthesizers written about his own science fiction story about nature, technology, and humanity. Accompanying the vinyl record is an art book, music film, online experience, and scent collection available in the Spotify merch tab.
As a film composer Sage writes original music for film, television, VR/AR, theatre, and brand campaigns that can be heard on Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime, public television, the Oculus Store, and the Apple Store. His films have been screened at festivals including Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, Cannes, Telluride, Slamdance, IDFF, and the Havana Film Festival. He has scored product campaigns for companies including Google, Facebook, and Stripe.
Sage was a Sundance Film Scoring Lab Fellow at Skywalker Sound and a fellow for the BMI Conducting Workshop for Visual Media Composers. He has received grants, awards, and commissions from institutions such as the American Composers Forum, Theater Communications Group, Center Theatre Group, and the City of Los Angeles.
He resides in Los Angeles with his wife Aleigh and their two daughters Maisie and Beatrix and travels regularly to Cuba and Iceland.
