Saifoulaye Baldé, known as Saifond, is a singer and song-writer , born in Labé.
He came to Conakry to continue his studies, but found happiness in the music world.
He started out dancing, then joined a rap group before finally opting for a solo career.
Endowed with a high-pitched voice, he has managed to blend tradition and modernity to create a musical genre now known as afro-pastoral.
This blend, of which he is the only one with the secret, has become a very popular musical genre in Guinea.
He released his first solo project in 2017, Djiwo Athiou Mi Yidhé, which means "girl, let me love you", and he hasn't stopped since.
Today, he has an album Sabou No Wely, released in November 2022, and several singles, almost all of which have been filmed. He is currently preparing his second album, which will be available at the end of 2024.
