Saino / s-ae-n-o is a self-taught producer from Mechelen / Antwerp, Belgium.

Saino started producing at the age of 19 and was active in the underground hip-hop and trap scene for a long time. But over time, he became dissatisfied and demotivated by that scene. After being stuck in that world for years, Saino slowly found his way back through electronic music, which finally felt honest and exciting again.

Saino became hooked on ethereal melodies, complex rhythms, and raw sounds. Later came <a href="spotify:artist:2AR42Ur9PcchQDtEdwkv4L" data-name="Floating Points">Floating Points</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:56HzUkOrdunCoUYH2w25Xu" data-name="Niels Orens">Niels Orens</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:36tUphbhaRrmHNS6reORr5" data-name="Tom VR">Tom VR</a>—key figures in the left-field and electronica music scene and major role models for Saino. Now he immerses himself in everything from left-field electronica to breakbeat and ambient.

He recently released his first EP, <a href="spotify:album:0pfadNPtBZKryvhu2Xtwif" data-name="Lost In Silence EP">Lost In Silence EP</a>. With this EP, he is taking his first steps into the world of electronic music. Saino created this EP during his transition from hip-hop to electronica—a long period of silence and uncertainty as he searched for his sound.
