Salmon Pink's core members, Eddy and Leo, first started playing together as 'Bored' sometime during November of 2019. They would often play at an underground bar/cafe in Tokyo, usually only with two guitars. They initially knew a couple of people who worked there, and eventually would become a regular musical act. After about a year of playing there, they decided to take it to the next level and form a proper band with the name Salmon Pink.
Born in Brazil, raised in Japan, Eddy was influenced by his father to take up playing the guitar at age 15. He graduated MI Japan (Musicians Institute Japan) at age 18 and has been playing ever since. He is most influenced by artists like John Mayer, but more recently artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Prince, and The Beatles.
Born to an English father and a Japanese mother, Leo originally picked up drumming at age 7 under the influence of his father. As his interests in drumming subsided, his interest in the guitar and singing skyrocketed after discovering The Beatles.
