Salomón “Sal” Gutiérrez is a Bay Area musician, born in San Francisco in the year 1988. Sal had his start in music at a really young age, his love for music and the drums are something that had forever marked his life. Getting his first break playing drums at his parents church at age 6, he developed his skills with time and as the years progressed by listening to the Christian artist/groups of the 90's like Marcos Witt, Torre Fuerte, Ron Kenoly, Don Moen, and dc Talk just to name a few. As he grew older, he simultaneously began to expand his musical horizons by listening to world renowned drummers and musicians such as Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Gadd, Marco Minneman, Alex Acuña, Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez, John Blackwell, Chick Corea, Michel Camilo, Dennis Chambers, and many more incredible bands and artists.
Sal is an independent drummer and is currently worked and played for Christian artists such as Abel Zavala, Emmanuel Espinosa (Rojo), and Bani Muñoz. He has done work recently as a session drummer for JAZ Studio (Napa California) with owner and producer Jorge Zetina, he has recently relocated to Phoenix Arizona and working on his very first EP. Sal has also collaborated making music with musicians all over Europe and Latin America.
