After joining the military and serving in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Salute returned home to Houston, TX, where he connected with industry veterans like E-Rock of the 5th Ward Boyz and Devin The Dude; this led to Salute landing a position with the Coughee Brothaz team, which provided Salute with an opportunity to tour extensively and experience the world for two years. He has collaborated with several renowned artists, including Fat Joe, Lil Wayne, Scarface, Slim Thug, Bigga Rankin, and Boosie Badazz.
