Salvador

salvador are a new, young guitar band emerging from the suffolk countryside in the east of england. growing up in “the middle of nowhere”, the four teenagers (lucas evans, jan ashwell, felix church, jude machan) have had the space to make lots of noise without bothering the neighbours. inspired by the likes of the xx, radiohead, the murder capital, and king krule, their influences combine with the preoccupations of youth to create music that sounds natural and unfettered by the next trend. the lack of a local music scene has forced salvador to make a name for themselves by putting on their own gigs in village halls and community centres. albeit slightly rowdy and disorderly, these nights have created powerful memories for the local population, stepping out of their sleepy villages into a vivid rave. like everything that salvador do, the ethos is 100% DIY: songwriting, production, recording, mixing, artwork, design, videography - the band would probably take the photographs if they didn’t have to be in front of the camera themselves. with future releases in store, salvador return in summer 2020 with a desire for their voices to be heard louder than before.
