Sam Gutterz

Sam Gutterz is a Brooklyn-born, New Jersey-raised hip-hop artist and lyricist whose work is grounded in sharp storytelling, East Coast grit, and socially conscious themes. Drawing early influence from Tupac, Wu-Tang Clan, and AZ, Sam began writing and recording music in 2007 under the moniker J. Osa, developing his craft independently through a grassroots, self-produced approach.

In 2014, he released his debut mixtape, Garbage Day, a 10-track project entirely written, recorded, mixed, and mastered in his home studio. That release marked the transition to his current artist identity, Sam Gutterz, signaling a creative evolution and more intentional direction.

Gutterz is known for blending classic hip-hop textures with introspective lyricism and forward-thinking themes—using his platform to spark dialogue around social progress and personal development. His music balances raw energy with crafted perspective, appealing to both underground heads and audiences looking for substance-driven sound.
