Sam Ojo

Ojo the Kidd, a 20 yr old Dublin based MC of Kenyan and Nigerian herigate steps to the mic to release his highly anticipated debut project.

Born ‘Sam Ojo’ he launched his career at the young age of 13 when he discovered he had a knack for writing rhymes and delivering quick, thought provoking flows.

With encouragement from his local community, he began performing at local rap battles where he quickly made a name for himself as rising MC in the underground Hiphop scene. His continued win of record number of competitions led to some national press coverage by the age of 14 and solidifying his position as one of Ireland’s strongest MCs.

The following years saw him spotlight several notable festivals including Electric picnic as well as sharing the same stage as Joey Bad Ass. This and a continuous hone his craft by listening to some of his key influences including rap greats like Kendrick Lamar, Isaiah Rashaad and School boy Q have contributed to the eclectic sound emerging from the young MC.

This year, he returns to the mic ready for his first release, a vibrantly infectious track called ‘Rack it up’ which is sure to set the tone for his upcoming EP and album due release later this year. Confident in his body of work, 2019 is as good a time as any to reintroduce himself to the world as the formidable 'Ojo the Kidd'.
