As a 13-year-old, I could rarely persuade my parents to do anything. Dropping out of piano lessons was one of the few debates I was unfortunately able to decide in my favor. Of course, I regret it to this day - as was predicted to me at the time. A few years later, however, I started playing drums, which brought me into contact with digital production methods.
I was captivated by the emerging electronic music scene of the 90s. Influenced by names like Kruder & Dorfmeister, Portishead or Massive Attack, I turned more and more to producing. At that time, however, things were still very rudimentary. At least by my standards at the time. A few cumbersome synthesizers, a PC, many, many faders and countless nights in the musty basement.
