Rooted in a childhood immersed in poetry, SR’s unique ability to intertwine Urdu with a modern sound has created a distinctive artistic identity called ‘Urdu-blues’ music. Wherein he experiments with the poetry of contemporary and progressive Urdu poets from the Indian subcontinent and blend it with the classic Blues music sound.
