Samuel David was born and raised in the middle of the map. Wichita, KS to be exact. Many people don't know much about Kansas. The first thing that comes to mind is the Wizard of OZ. Start talking about Kansas hip hop and you'll immediately think Tech Nine or XV. Samuel David is changing that.
Coming from the midwest, Samuel draws influence from a wide spectrum of artist including Andre 3000, Jay-Z, Mase, and even 2 Chainz. He combines honest, arrogant, inspiring, and introspective content to connect with his listeners. He started from humble beginnings, rapping in his grandmothers basement and of course middle school lunch table cyphers. Samuel can best be described as a family man, business man, motivator, and man of principle and his music definitely reflects that.
In 2015 under the alias Big Sam, Samuel David released his debut album "Grammy Night" to rave reviews. Samuel took some time off to redefine his sound and came back in 2017 with his single "BIFA" which quickly proved to be a regional hit.
