Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Samuel grew up absorbing the distinct, vibrant cultures of San Antonio, Los Angeles, and New York City. Admiring the work of iconic artists like Prince and Draco Rosa, he proved his own natural musical abilities at a young age, picking up piano and guitar. Playing and singing with his family and friends led to the formation of a band with his twin brother, and following a successful run with the June Junes, the multi-talented virtuoso transitioned into a career as a solo artist, releasing the single “Oro” under the moniker Jacbern in 2014. “Oro” accumulated 100K views in just 10 days while ranking among iTunes’ New & Noteworthy and VEVO Latino’s favorite videos, taking the #6 spot on the list.

Samuel’s far-reaching dual-cultural appeal and captivating performance skills have carried him to some of the greatest stages in the world. The acclaimed singer-songwriter has already won a spot as a featured artist in Billboard magazine and has garnered a string of impressive accolades to his name, including writing credits on Alvaro Soler’s hit single “Libre” featuring Paty Cantu, Emma, and Monika Lewczuk, which reached #3 in Italy and became the #1 most played song in Poland. He also penned “Tocando El Cielo” for Latin GRAMMY award winner Sie7e and contributed to the soundtrack of award-winning films.
