Sander De Keere (1992, Ghent) is a Belgian musician and composer of minimal classical music. His work arises from a minimalistic approach, as a musical reflection on our everyday lifestyle. Apart from music productions for television, theatre music, soundtracks for podcasts and his work as a radio host, his musical practice balances between composing and performing, between the repetitive and the meditative, between music as a conceptual process and music as a narrative medium.
“Minimal music is my answer to our modern and hasty way of living. The long repetitive patterns and meditative atmosphere in my work can be a musical antidotum to our short-term goals and fulfillments. As part of this reaction, I don’t want to stick to any musical convention, which really feels like a revelation. I know where my compositions start, but not how they will end.”
