Sandra Andreis

In 2019, Swedish multihypenate artist Sandra Andreis released her much-anticipated debut EP – Raising My Standards – a unique collection of jazz classics transformed into trip hop infused fighting songs for gender equality. On International Women's Day (March 8th), Sandra released her first single, As Time Goes By, which was met with acclaim in her native Sweden. The second single, Summertime, was followed by a potently poetic music video set in Morocco and Sweden, which Sandra co-directed with her husband, Tom Malmros. Both the song and video attracted international attention.

The EP includes the groundbreaking Lady is a Champ, an updated version of Lady is a Tramp. The new title has been registered as an official alternative to the original due to Sandra's initiative.
Raising my Standards was recorded in Stockholm over the course of early 2019 along with producer Henrik Jonzon (Janice, Miriam Bryant). In the words of Sandra, her musical journey is a face-off with the gender norms pervading so much of popular music and mainstream culture in general.
