SJC is an Italian-Canadian versatile singer, with a wide artistic curriculum. “COLORS - Story of a girl who wanted to record an album” is her debut album. SJC is well-known to the public as having been a member of the National Jazz Orchestra of Young Talents, and backing-vocalist in Francesco De Gregori’s album “Amore e Furto" dedicated to Bob Dylan (one of the most well-known Italian singers/songwriters).
In the summer of 2017 she was the opening act to well-known Italian singer Niccolò Fabi at the Indiegeno Fest and in the fall opening act to the French band Nouvelle Vague.
On June 20, 2018, on the occasion of the World Refugee Day, the album “Yayla - Musiche Ospitali” (Appaloosa Records) was released and presented at RadioRai3, in which SJ has interpreted “Deportee” by Woody Guthrie (in the album also artist Antonella Ruggiero, Edoardo Bennato, Erri De Luca, Valerio Mastandrea and many others).
She has been 1 of the 100 judges on the TV Show "All Together Now Italy" in 2019. On June 2019 she has won the first prize as songwriter of the contest "L'Artista che non c'era" with a full-paid tour in summer 2020 around Italy (despite the Covid-19).
She will release her new album 11 June 2021 with the label Parco della Musica Records.
