Sara Ontaneda, an acclaimed singer-songwriter based in New York City, crafts a vibrant fusion of Pop, Electronic, and Latin influences, weaving heartfelt lyrics in both Spanish and English into her music.
Her musical journey has taken her on tours across Ecuador and numerous cities in the US, including Boston, Miami, and Los Angeles. In March 2017, Sara unveiled her debut album, "Entre Espacios y Colores," which artfully blends South-American R&B and Alternative nuances, often hailed as Nu-Latin.
Embarking on international tours with notable performances at SXSW, the NAMM Show, LIFA Music Festival (Mexico City), and LatinIndie (Chicago), Sara has also graced stages as the opening act for renowned artists such as Ella Baila Sola (In NJ), Luz, Pinos, Ceci Juno, and Ruzzi, Vanessa Zamora (in Ecuador).
In 2019, Sara's talents were recognized with the "Best World Music" award at the Richmond Film and Music Festival and the prestigious "Artist Revelation of the Year" accolade at the Premios Unidad in NYC (Ecuadorian Music Awards).
In 2022, Sara collaborated with Andean-Pop artist Mirella Cesa on "Tu Recuerdo". Later that same year, she ventured into a new sonic territory with the release of "Volcan EP," drawing inspiration from 80s synth pop sounds. With an unwavering dedication to her craft, Sara continues to captivate audiences worldwide through her live performances and the release of fresh, innovative music.
