British singer/songwriter SARAH IKUMU discovered her passion for music at a
young age, first planting her roots as a singer in her father’s church.
After competing in the Teen Star UK competition, Sarah was then spotted by a
Britain’s Got Talent scout.
Sarah went on to take part in Britain’s Got Talent 2017 and was immediately
awarded the famed ‘golden buzzer’ by Simon Cowell after a rendition of Jennifer
Holiday’s "And I am telling You".
Her unique vocal abilities and stage presence paved the way to another success:
Showtime At the Apollo in New York, where she reached the final in 2018.
Since then, she's graced stages worldwide, including performances at the UN
Trust Fund in the UK, We Day at Wembley SSE Arena, Apollo Theatre spring gala
in New York, the ‘Hurricane Maria memorial’ in Dominica, events in Geneva and
London for luxury watch brand Audemars Piguet, MIPIM in Cannes, and Dubai
for Bvlgari. Sarah also recently performed at one of the worlds largest festivals ‘Glastonbury’ as part of the “MOBO unsung alumni’. Also the prestigious Vogue 25 and was featured on the British Vogue website. Notably, she was one of the select few Kenyan artists invite to Buckingham Palace to meet the King and featured on the Royal family Instagram performing the Kenyan National Anthem
