Sarah P. is an Athenian conceptual artist & mental health advocate who is challenging pop music as we know it.
Her career in music started as the frontwoman of the dream-pop duo Keep Shelly In Athens. Sarah P.'s first solo EP Free is about being reborn, breaking free from the past. The debut album Who Am I is about introspection, finding out who we are and what we can learn from the past to shape a better future. The Maenads (Deluxe Version) EP is inspired by the female followers of the ancient Greek god Dionysus and explores the theme of female power. Her second full-length album Plotting Revolutions (2020) is about the present & the future, about building bridges & the need for plotting revolutions.
On her Birdsong EP, Sarah continues to experiment with analogue & electronic sounds, minimal vocals & thought-provoking lyrics. Inspired by her own experience with loss, she touches on everyday struggles that arise when losing a loved one - how one must learn how to live without them. Complex in its simplicity, Birdsong EP tells a story known to many and opts to leave the listener feeling a bit lighter by the end of their listening session.
With her latest releases ICNSG, Prayer, and Cityscapes, Sarah P. enters a new chapter (maybe even the final one) of her 14-year-long music release history. A new EP is scheduled for early 2024.
