Sarantis was born in Mannheim, Germany, in 1978. During his childhood, he was a passionate skater spending several hours a day on his board along with his brother, Dimi, who is two years younger. Both were raised bilingually speaking German and Greek equally well. Sarantis completed his grammar school in 1999. Afterwards, he spend 3.5 years in Switzerland obtaining his BBA degree in hospitality and tourism management in 2003. Between 2003 and 2012, he was working in the hospitality industry in Switzerland and Greece, which he perceived as not fulfilling. Following this, he enrolled into Mannheim University obtaining his teaching degree in English and History in 2017; it was during this period of time when he started working on his first song. Currently, he works as a teacher in a public grammar school in the south of Germany.
