Hi, I'm Sarf. I was born in Bangladesh, and right now I'm in Singapore. I struggle to put a label on my music, but it would be something along the lines of "pop-r&b-indie". Growing up in a brown household, I was naturally exposed to many Bollywood shows (and songs!) as a kid. That's probably why my music features Bollywood-inspired melodies without me actively thinking about it. Maybe that's just me subconsciously paying homage to my roots.

I used to sing in a band during my school days, and I owe a lot to them for helping me grow as a musician. I learnt how to play guitar later on while serving in the army. Music production and songwriting started much later when my friend Nav introduced me to the wonders of Logic Pro X and installed it on my MacBook Pro 2012. I've never looked back since.

I consider my music to be an extension of myself. I can feel introverted sometimes and creating my own musical pieces, from the instrument choices to the lyrics and melodies, gives me a sense of freedom to express myself in a way I can't describe. All from the comfort of my bedroom. I hope you like what you hear x
