SARU XM

SARU XM is an Eritrean-Swedish R&B singer, songwriter from Stockholm, Sweden. Her sound offers a sensual, gritty and unique approach to R&B; gather influences from the genre's 90s and early 00s. Reflecting her thoughts and feelings, the lyrics and uptempo melodies play smoothly on the warmth of the accompanying production.

In 2023, SARU XM released her debut EP 'Moodring', which was very well received by music journalists and editors. The EP was nominated for best R&B/Soul at the 2024 Manifestgalan and Swedish music critic Per Sinding-Larsen described it as "classically well done". The EP was also noticed by DSP editors in both the US and the UK. In 2024, SARU XM was personally selected by Destin Conrad as the opener during his EU/UK tour in the Nordics.

SARU XM released her anticipated sophomore EP 'Return 2 Sender' on the 29th of November, an emotive journey through the end of a relationship. Divided into themes of inner dialogue with yourself, conversations with the partner, and the decision to part ways. 'Return 2 Sender' explores unreciprocated love and featuring a darker, soul-influenced soundscape. The music video for 'Ocean' was also exhibited at Swedens Museum of Science and Technology.
