Sashi Gandarum

Sashi Gandarum is not a new addition to Indonesia’s music industry and creative scene. The present focus however is not on past trajectories or accomplishments. Offered here is a fresh invitation to aurally step into one artist’s voice and perspective.

Collectively these songs present a deeply personal and honest portrayal of the human experience in all of its contrasting vulnerability and strength. Individually they spring from distinctive moments in time and the navigation through such. She has played and penned music consistently and feels that her creations are the best description of her existence.

The upcoming EP continues to draw the picture of the artist’s journey from that place in time to now. Years full of experiences and effort have brought her to a place of contentment and solidity. No longer silenced, living life out loud with joy, pride and self respect.

This project realization is made possible by the generosity of many personal donations to a crowdfunding initiative which reached the goal target in just one week of fundraising. Sashi recognizes with immense gratitude that these songs now belong to her friends and supporters worldwide as much as they do to herself and her creative team of artists.

The overarching message that Sashi hopes to convey with this body of work is one of hope and empowerment. She wishes to send this album into the world as one small voice - speaking loudly, reminding everyone, everywhere that they are not alone.
