Saturn's Grace was an alternative rock band from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Fusing the big choruses, overdriven guitars, and dynamic arrangements of the 90s grunge and alternative bands with their classic rock predecessors, Saturn's Grace created a sound that was hard to pinpoint. The band formed in 2017 between classmates Ian Sheaffer and Nolan Ferri. They both shared a passion for music, and they both played multiple instruments. While their styles and influences were very different, they complimented each other well and created a lot of variety within the band's sound. Ian and Nolan consistently recorded music together and occasionally with other musicians for a few years. In early 2023, Ian strove to make the project a true band. Nolan and him had recorded a multitude of songs, which eventually became the band's first album. They also recruited Anthony Groon on guitar and Brady Roland, who had played with them in the past, on drums. They helped finish up the album, and then, they began gigging regularly! In August, Aric Wilcox became the band's new drummer. After a summer full of gigs, the band won the South Dakota Youth Battle of the Bands competition. The band's final gig in January 2024 featured Evan Ehlers, lead singer of The Sertoma Project, filling in for Anthony on rhythm guitar. Saturn's Grace released a final album called Resistance in May 2024.
