In 2023, I released a 5-track boom bap heavy project titled 'The People's Champ'. That project was a coming of age and a realisation of the person that I projected into the world... someone who champions others and is happy to share his energy.
The sequel CHAMP CAMP is the logical evolution, both sonically and in the written content. With this project, I really wanted to capture the energy of a potential future champ going through the gruelling pre-championship fight camp.
This EP, this moment, is my champ camp. My time to prepare myself for the fights that lie ahead.
It is raw, honest, rap-heavy and has moments of fun. I'm talking to myself, but I am also talking to you, and any other future champions that may be listening.
