Sazzy J is mixed Ghanaian & Irish
Born in Essex & adopted to a white English family at the age of 3 months, she is now 51 years of age
Sazzy J has always been creative & has had a deep love for music & writing from a very young age.
The Kent based artist flourished musically in church during her early years as a member of the church choir then in her 20s became a worship leader.
Sazzy J nearly got signed as a secular artist but became pregnant with her second child.
As she reflects back on those days she believes that was Gods hand & protection over her life.
Sazzy J has spent periods of her life as a wedding singer as well as all other special occasions & has sang in clubs.
Sazzy J has devoted her life to raising 7 children & music took a back seat but now her children are older she feels this is the time to share her music with the world.
As a singer/songwriter, Sazzy J finds it important that her music and lyrics reflects her belief in Christ, sharing her journey with listeners whilst spreading the good news. Showing versatility through merging the traditional Gospel ideas with Alternative R&B, soul ,Afrobeats , hip hop & garage beats.
Sazzy J’s ultimate goal is to bring people closer to Christ & reach people who think christianity is boring, just religion & not relevant anymore.
