Scalblood

SCALBLOOD was formed in 2008 by guitarist Ilya 'Verz' Varavin and bassist Roman 'Loki' Soldatov under the name "Oddworld" as a melodic death metal band with a touch of black metal and a lot of other influences. The band then went through a long period of search for musicians and lineup changes.
In March 2011, the band under the name ODDWORLD released its debut EP "Psychology of mentally ill". It includes 4 tracks. Mixed and mastering by Artem Ponyavin.
Before the year 2012, the band took the decision to change its name to Scalblood.
In the 2012-2013 SCALBLOOD opened for a number bands in our city, biggest of which was Rotting Christ, played a lot of shows in their hometown and other Siberian cities and accumulated the material to record their first full-length album.
It was finally recorded in 2014 at LAKEGRAY STUDIO and named "I". The record was mixed and mastered by Alexey Stetsyuk (Drugva Studio).
In 2015 – “ I ” was released at FONO LTD METAL LABEL - http://www.fono.ru
In 2019 Scalblood recorded second album - Tales Of The Dead - at Verz Studio (instruments), at Berloga II/155 (Vocals) in October-December 2017 and mixed and mastered by Alexey Stetsyuk (Drugva Studio).
In 2019 - self released EP “Whispers Of The Dead” - part of the Full lenght album “Tales Of The Dead”
In 2020 – “Tales Of The Dead” was released at BANZAI records http://banzairecords.ru/
