At the end of 2016, Alx, who wanted to start a new project in 2015 in a different style (Rock/Metal), decide to start this new band with Kao, Ex-drummer of a Rammstein tribute band, which also wanted to join a new band.
Together, they decide to start this new project named <a href="spotify:artist:1DQPsQHg1CFD1SbgRgnzH8" data-name="Scariff">Scariff</a>. This Modern Rock/Metal band draws its influences from bands like Architects, Stone Sour or Three Days Grace. The main idea: to propose modern music with powerful riffs but also with a melodic approach and a personal touch.
Alexis already composed several songs in 2015, the band wanted to use these songs for their first auto-produced EP <a href="spotify:album:705phJrTeH24v1aVXsGpwE" data-name="Resurrection">Resurrection</a> (7 tracks), out in September 2017.
After the release of their EP, SCARIFF play several dates in Normandy and try to make a real audio and visual show.
During 2018, the band released an acoustic EP called <a href="spotify:album:5fJXI2GH74mVsTDKSPqGRv" data-name="Another World">Another World</a> and their live album called <a href="spotify:album:0eva1wwouecFTDUm4hYD8w" data-name="Live at Le 106">Live at Le 106</a>.
At the end of the year, the band won the Hatman Programmation contest and has opened for the band <a href="spotify:artist:30oV84oJ6PpIzrJFpVBlM6" data-name="Mass Hysteria">Mass Hysteria</a> on February 15th of 2019.
After the pandemic and a line-up change, the band released their first album <a href="spotify:album:2gmehIbIkAqni8DZJeudQV" data-name="Calling Your Name">Calling Your Name</a> on June 2022, which they promote on stage and through several festivals.
