Formed in Massachusetts during the height of the 1990s death metal underground, Scattered Remnants forged a reputation through a uniquely savage blend of primitive brutality, crushing groove, and grotesque atmosphere. While never achieving widespread recognition during their original run, the band's recordings gradually developed a devoted cult following among tape traders, collectors, and fans of early brutal death metal.

Beginning with the 1994 demo Procreating Mass Carnage, followed by the now-legendary 1995 EP Inherent Perversion and culminating in the 1998 full-length Destined to Fail, Scattered Remnants created a body of work that has since earned recognition as an overlooked cornerstone of underground American death metal.

Decades later, their uncompromising sound continues to resonate with new generations of listeners, standing as a testament to an era when extremity was driven by instinct, authenticity, and absolute devotion to the underground.
