Scheme were formed in 1980 by Rab McEwan, John Smith and Denny Oliver, the original members were Denny Oliver, Rab McEwan, John Smith, Alan Sinclair, George Wright and Tam Doyle.
In 1983 Alan and Tam left the band, Rab took over Alan's Bass and Desi Osborne joined as drummer.
Todays line up has changed due to the sad passing of John and George.
Alan Sinclair is back in on Bass and Paul Haggarty takes over his old friend John's guitar.
Scheme went on to be known as the best ever British band not to sign a recording deal. selling out the famous Glasgow Apollo, Barrowland, Pavillion and Kelvin Hall.
The band split up in 1993 and reformed 16 years later in 2019,
Their reunion was expected to be a low key concert at St Lukes but ended up selling out 2 nights, Scheme completed their first year back by playing in front of 8000 people at The Fort and playing in front of a packed Barrowland. Now in their 40th Aniversary year they plan for a big year
