Schmidt

Spencer “Schmidt” is a solo artist who decided to go by the name “Schmidt”, in the hopes that people would associate the name with his dad Jon Schmidt of The Piano Guys. Spencer’s music writing is always propelled by four core descriptive adjectives. Creative, catchy, experimental, and beautiful. He also is energized and rejuvenated by what some might call an almost reckless musical variety. Despite this variety, followers of his music can always count on the familiar vibes that will always be found in his songs, due to the four core adjectives described above. Lyrically he goes to great lengths to always ensure that his message is deeply authentic, brutally self-honest and real, while still being uplifting, and inspirational. As his life has progressed, he developed a fundamental belief that he had a God-shaped hole in his heart that only God could fill. Because of this belief, he most often writes lyrics that he hopes will help the listener connect with, praise and worship Jesus. This is the primary purpose, goal, and reason for his music.
