Born in 2024, SCOLASTICS is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Louis Inghels, who dived in on his mission statement to create music that is equally pounding, straightforward and eclectic. Together with local heavy weights Guus van Oosterum and Niels Klooster, Haarlem’s newest power trio produces a unique mix of alternative rock and metal with the emphasis on powerful vocals, contagious riffs and groove. Elements of <a href="spotify:artist:0Zy4ncr8h1jd7Nzr9946fD" data-name="Killing Joke">Killing Joke</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:16bN8mhtDFdegWbg0z3s10" data-name="Hüsker Dü">Hüsker Dü</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0lFiKrJUofJpnrAJnMsnQ3" data-name="Voivod">Voivod</a> can be heard in their repertoire, but SCOLASTICS is no throwback act. Armed with their debut EP released by Geertruida, they put their eyes on the Dutch scene with Western Europe in sight. SCOLASTICS is a band on the rise, ready to share themselves with the world.
