Scoob(Dj Scoob) was born and raised in Baltimore, Md.
Freez(TheFREEZproject) was born and raised in Tifton, Ga (south of
Atlanta). They met in the early 1990’s while serving overseas in the US
Navy and instantly hit it off for both having recognized each other’s love
for Djing and music production. They produced a few tracks, none of
which had ever been released. After Scoob separated from the military
and returned home, they lost touch completely. It wasn’t until 2 decades
later and the assist of social media that they were finally reunited.
Unbelievably to the two of them, the creative magic had returned as if it had never left. Despite having
pursued other musical ventures, Scoob & Freez decided to join forces once again creating a powerful
new production team. The love of house music and genuine friendship is the glue that holds this duo
together although they come from vastly different backgrounds and regions in the US. Their sound is
unapologetically soulful and deep, often with a hard hitting vibe.
