Since entering the Australian music scene in 2003, Yorta Yorta singer songwriter Scott Darlow has been a mainstay of Australia’s Indigenous and independent music industry. The versatile singer-songwriter, guitarist, and didgeridoo player has sold more than 50,000 albums worldwide and has extensively toured Australia, the UK,Asia and the USA.
Darlow has released four albums to-date; two with his first band "The Darlow Show," and two as a solo artist. His landmark album, Sorry, released November 2016 to critical acclaim with Rolling Stone describing the album as, “...front-foot rock, oozing in confidence and honesty. Darlow leaves no space for subtly on Sorry, spreading his plainspoken prose equally across introspective evaluations and — as expected, given his history as an indigenous activist and World Vision spokesperson — a prominent political edge. “ – Rolling Stone Australia
Sorry was followed by Darlow’s second solo album, Deadly Heart, which was written with and produced by legendary Aussie songwriter/producer Joel Quartermain in late 2023.
In 2020, Darlow was signed to music legend Michael Gudinskis personal reord label, Reclusive Records. Scott Darlow was to become the last artist Gudinski signed. “I have believed in Scott Darlow for many years and it feels incredibly fitting that the first release for Reclusive is Scott’s extremely poignant and timely song ‘You Can’t See Black In The Dark" - Michael Gudinski
