Scottie (Hertier Jean-R Hitimana) is a Belgian artist with Rwandan roots. Active as a singer, rapper, and producer, he blends afro, hip-hop, R&B, and trap in his music. Growing up in Antwerp, he was heavily influenced by his family’s musical background.
His career started with the EP Trappende Cupido and the solo project Vlaamse Trap Muziek, where he introduced a new wave within Flemish hip-hop. The follow-up, Vlaamse Trap Muziek: Tien Om Te Zien, featured collaborations with Flemish artists and further cemented his impact on the scene. He found success with tracks like Double Cup (+200K streams), Lean City (+300K streams), and Dagga, which went viral on social media. His music was featured in the TV series Kameleon (Streamz/Videoland, 2024), and he reached the Antwerp finals of Sound Track 2023.
In addition to his work as an artist, he produces under the name Tiesco and is the founder of the collective Goner Lang. He has performed on major stages across Belgium, including festivals such as OLT Rivierenhof, Maanrock, Fête de la Musique, and Couleur Café. Through Riverside Studio, he is committed to music education and talent development.
