Screaming Tea Party was a London-based noise-pop band active between 2006 and 2010. Formed by Japanese musician Koichi Yamanoha (vocals, bass), along with Niiyan (guitar) and Teresa Colamonaco (drums), the band combined elements of punk and psychedelia with a raw, melodic sensibility. Their music was known for its balance of nursery rhyme-like melodies and chaotic bursts of distortion, drawing influences from Japanese underground noise rock and the UK alternative scene. - Phoebe Leigh
