Having already established himself as an all-round artist who has proven himself in production and songwriting, from the UK underground to some of the biggest artists in the world, Sean 1da is stepping out from behind the scenes with new music of his own.
Raised in London, Sean developed his songwriting skills in the US, where he spent time writing with industry veterans including Jim Jonsin (Beyoncé, Usher, Eminem), Ayo N Keyz (Beyoncé, Cardi B, Jaden Smith) and Soulshock and Karlin (Whitney Houston, 2Pac, Craig David). On returning to London, he established himself as one of country’s most exciting new songwriters, working with a broad spectrum of homegrown artists including Giggs, Loick Essien, Nafe Smallz, Ramz, Koomz and Avelino.
Despite the global pandemic, 2020 has been a productive year for Sean. In March he contributed to Skepta, Chip and Young Adz’s acclaimed ‘Insomnia’ album, writing the UK garage-inspired ‘Mic Check’ alongside regular collaborator Nia V and producer RXWNTREE. And on a trip to Sweden, prior to COVID-19, Sean worked with producer DJ Camper where the pair wrote ‘Say Something’ for Brandy’s seventh studio album entitled, ‘B7’ which now sits at the top of the US R&B chart.
