Sebastián Masci
Argentine violinist, Masci is a national Professor of music graduate with
Medal of honor from the Carlos l. Buchardo National Conservatory,
specializing in violin. He is one of few performers promoting in great degree Argentinian repertoire, responsible for more than one hundred world-premières.
He was awarded the 'Best Performer' award by the Society of Authors and Composers of Argentina in 2007
He was awarded a scholarship through competition by the Fundación
Antorchas as well as by the National Fund of the Arts for furthering
advance studies.
He served as a violinist in the Youth Orchestra of Radio Nacional,
Camerata Bariloche, Sinfónica Nacional and Orchestra of Teatro Colón.
Currently he serves as first violinist in the Philharmonic Orchestra of
Buenos Aires.
He has performed in the most important concert halls of Argentina and as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of Salta, Symphony Orchestra of San Martin, Chamber Orchestra Mayo, and the Academic Orchestra of the Teatro Argentino in La Plata in others
He has recorded and released seven CDs of Argentinian music.
He is the main professor and chair of the Violin Departments of the
Conservatories Manuel de Falla and Astor Piazzolla.
He is a founding member of the Gianneo String Quartet one of the most prestigious quartet in America,
