Introducing Segarra, a five-piece outfit is led by frontman Oli Wade, Luke Hooton, Josh Holloway, Liam Cox and Callum Friend.
Vibrant, energetic and full of charisma the lads originate from Nottingham and recently burst onto the UK guitar scene, and are already carving out a sizeable landscape and following in their music mad city.
Taking the effervescent energy of the new wave rock buzz, blended with a splash of indie and garage rock and you are somewhere within their sonic template. Unique tempos, melody-laden, engaging riffs and thought provoking lyrics makes Segarra a sound to look out for.
The bands latest release “One More Chance” earned them a whole host of positive reviews and airplay, including BBC Introducing and a place on BBC Radio Derby and Nottingham’s daytime, as well as XS Manchester. Dean Jackson described it as “a proper Indie Rock track, the likes of which you don’t hear very often nowadays”.
Among their many live shows, the band were selected to play two consecutive appearances at Dot 2 Dot Festival in 2021 and 2022. Since then, the boys have played a whole host of shows in Manchester, Leicester, Sheffield and a rather wild set in Hull which led to an encore of their single “Shine A Light (On Me)”, with a few on-stage guest appearances from members of the crowd!
